Falstaff: 94 Punkte

"Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart floral unterlegte, reife rote Herzkirschenfrucht, Brombeeren, Nuancen von Mandarinenzesten, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, rotbeerig und frisch, feine Tannine, mineralisch-salzig im Abgang, gute Länge, ein anregender Speisenbegleiter." - Peter Moser (04/2026)

The 2025 Pédesclaux is powerful, rich and expansive, yet it retains striking finesse to temper all of the natural intensity of this warm, dry year. Pédesclaux certainly has a lot to offer. Lifted floral notes, silky contours and gorgeous blue/purplish fruit are some of the signatures that grace this expressive, generous Pauillac. Tasted two times.

Lots of purity, with freshness and a linear, evenly distributed dark fruit profile. There is elegance and a chewy texture that’s precise and focused, with good definition.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Pedesclaux delivers notes of fresh black currants and ripe raspberries, giving way to nuances of cedar, wet slate, and damp soil with a waft of dried herbs. The medium-bodied palate has firm, grainy tannins and a refreshing line framing the taut, muscular black fruit, finishing minerally. The blend is 21% Merlot, 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Petit Verdot, and 9% Cabernet Franc. The alcohol is 13% (04/2026)

Fine, minty and elegant nose. The 2025 Pedesclaux has a fine and well structured, fruity core and an elegant, intense, jammy backbone. It is a very success full effort from the chateau and a wine that will be interesting to follow. (05/2026)

The 2025 Pedésclaux reveals aromas of dark wild berries, cassis, blackberry and floral notes, combining freshness with approachability. Medium- to full-bodied, it’s structured yet enveloping, built around a juicy core of fruit framed by a firm tannic structure and concludes with a long, perfumed and somewhat firm finish. A blend of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, it is being matured in 50% new oak, with a significant proportion in 400-liter barrels rather than standard barriques.
