"... Chateau Robin is in the village of Belves de Castillon, well known for the Battle which opposed on July 17th 1453, English men from Henry VI against the French from Charles VII ending the “100 year War”. It is on a great steep amphithe ater looking East-south, surrounded by forests down to the Dordogne river. It is a unique terroir (clay, limestone and silex) at the limit of Bordeaux appellation (AOC Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux) almost in the Bergerac area. A blend of several very old vines (Mostly merlot but also Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Francs (Bouchet type), and very Old Malbecs. The vineyard has been abandoned from 2015 until 2018 when we took it over with my other brothers. Stephan Asseo used to produce this wine from start of 90’s until start of the 2000’s. This estate was classified “Se cond cru in 1874” in the Feret Book, nearby our neighbour Clos Puy Arnaud from Thierry Valette which was 1er Cru. It is a new adventure, with all the hard work that we have to put in..."

"Das Bouquet ist subtil und zeigt Frische, kreidige Noten sowie Anklänge von Himbeeren und Kirschen, ergänzt durch blumige Akzente. Die kreidigen Noten spiegeln sich am Gaumen deutlich wider, gleich im Auftakt, der zudem eine salzige Note aufweist. Mit kräftigen Tanninen und einer strukturierenden Säure versehen, wirkt der Wein spritzig und tonisch. Die bevorstehende Reifung wird ihm noch etwas mehr Fülle verleihen.
