Yves Beck: 94-96 Punkte

2030-2050" (04/2026)

"Thoroughly delicious, a ton of texture and slate, spicy, violet, iris, cocoa bean, olive pit, this is excellent quality, perfumed and juicy, a successful Seraphine. Harvest September 3 to 19, 22hlha yield. 10% in the 1st wine is the highest to date." (04/2026)

Decanter: 95 Punkte

"Great aromatics, almost heady in their perfume, dark ripe blackcurrant, wild flowers and hints of black chocolate. Really so perfumed. Bold and well constructed, this is impressive from the first sip with chewy fruit but more strawberry and. Blueberry than darker blackcurrants and cassis. No hint of the sun here – definitely more fresh with a rich vibrancy, less overt acidity but still lifted. I like this a lot, it’s confident and shining, glossy, but really not shouting, Masasy on the finish but not dry at all. Ageing will help soften this. I love the combination of juiciness with the really quite present tannins but nothing harsh. Huge concentration but not density. Lovely."  - Georgina Hindle (04/2026)

Vinum: 88 Punkte

"Vom Ausbau geprägte Nase, deutliche Röstnoten, Karamell, Mokka über dunkler Beerenfrucht; am Gaumen kompakt, süsser Auftakt, die Frucht wird mit merklich Tannin vom Holz kaschiert; mittellanger, rotfruchtiger Abgang, endet trocknend." - Adrian van Velsen (04/2026)

The 2025 Séraphine was cropped at 22 hl/ha on September 3 and 4 for the Merlot and September 19 for the Cabernet Franc. It underwent a prudent extraction, with nothing higher than 28°C and a gentle pump-over, the maceration two instead of three weeks and careful use of the vin de presse. It is matured in 40 to 45% new oak barrels. This has a vivacious bouquet with brambly red berry fruit, rose petals and light pencil box scents, well defined and cohesive. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins that impart a very silky, smooth texture, caressing in the mouth. Just a little pepperiness emanates towards the finish, completing a fine Pomerol that should give up to 15 years' drinking pleasure.

A medium-bodied, textural, and driver red. Berries and some baking spices on the nose. Fine, firm tannins and a persistent finish.

Rocking levels of black fruits, smoky herbs, chocolate, and spice define the 2025 Château Séraphine, a terrific, well-oaked style of Pomerol based on 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc that's being raised in a mix of truncated foudres, 300-liter barrels with 45% new, and amphora. It's full-bodied on the palate, with a deep, rich, layered mouthfeel, fine tannins, and a great finish. I love its overall balance and purity, and it should integrate its oak nicely with just short-term cellaring. (05/2026)

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2025 Seraphine needs a lot of swirling and coaxing to reveal notes of fresh blackberries, red currant preserves, and fresh boysenberries, giving way to nuances of fragrant soil, violets, and dusty soil. The medium-bodied palate has a firm backbone of fine-grained tannins and a lively line lifting the dense black and blue fruit to a long, perfumed finish. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The alcohol is 13.5%. (04/2026)
