2025 Chevalier de Lascombes

The 2025 Chevalier de Lascombes is a big, big wine that announces the vintage in style. A blast of dark red/purplish fruit, rose petal, lavender, mint, mocha and spice stains the palate. Even with all of its intensity, the Chevalier remains quite vibrant. The tannins are also very refined. This is such an overachieving Chevalier and a sleeper for the vintage.

A crunchy and beautiful red with dark cherry and terra cotta character, a medium body and a crunchy finish. Delicious second wine of Lascombes. 70% merlot, 27% cabernet sauvignon and 3% petit verdot. (04/2026)

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Chevalier de Lascombes bursts from the glass with exuberant notes of blackberry preserves and red currant jelly, plus hints of crushed rocks, black olives, and bouquet garni. Medium-bodied, the palate has wonderfully silky tannins with refreshing acidity and bright black and red berry layers, finishing long and perfumed with lots of floral notes coming through at the end. The blend is 70% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Petit Verdot. The alcohol is 13.5%. (04/2026)
