The 2025 G d'Estournel is a gorgeous Haut-Médoc. Dark, pliant and super expressive, the 2025 has so much to offer. Floral and savory overtones meld into dark red-toned fruit, gravel, incense, licorice and mocha. All the elements are so well balanced. There's more Cabernet Sauvignon in this vintage, much of it from high-density plantings that date back to 2012 and 2013. That, along with the style of the year, seems to yield an especially serious G. This is beautifully done.

Notes of fresh red cherries, black raspberries, and blackberries hop from the glass, giving way to hints of pencil lead and bay leaves. The light-bodied palate is refreshing with lightly chewy tannins and bright black and red berry flavors, finishing with a pleasant sappiness. It has a pH of 3.62 and the alcohol is 12.97%. (04/2026)
