Vinous
2019 Château Mauvesin-Barton: 87 Punkte
The 2019 Mauvesin-Barton has a rather backward nose without quite the same level of energy as its peers, therefore demands more coaxing from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with loose-tannins, fleshy and approachable yet missing some grip on the finish. Not bad, but certainly not best in class. Two bottles tasted, the second demonstrating a tad more fruit, yet still not as convincing as its peers. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting. - Neal Martin (01/2023)
2019 Chardonnay Hubert de Boüard: 90 Punkte
The 2019 Chardonnay is the most complete of the whites in this range from Hubert de Boüard. All the elements are impeccably balanced here. This is very nicely done. Light tropical accents run through a core of citrus and floral nuances. - Antonio Galloni (01/2022)
2018 Château Croix Mouton: 88 Punkte
The 2018 Croix Mouton has a powerful nose of dense black fruit laced with melted tar, cedar and tobacco scents, a bit static compared to some of its peers but decent for a Bordeaux Supérieur. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannins on the entry. Grippy and quite assertive, displaying plenty of structure and backbone, although it needs more finesse and precision on the finish. I can imagine it with a hearty steak, however. - Neal Martin (01/2021)

James Suckling
2019 Château Robin: 90-91 Punkte
A pretty 2019 with lots of purple fruit, violets and some chocolate and stone. It’s medium-bodied with round, creamy tannins and a delicious finish. Shows finesse and brightness. (08/2020)
2019 Chardonnay Hubert de Boüard: 90 Punkte
A pleasant chardonnay with cooked-apple, cream and light yogurt character. Medium to full body. Delicious finish. (02/2022)
2018 Clos Fontaine Premier Vin: 88 Punkte
Some slightly stewed-fruit character with chocolate and walnut undertones. Medium-bodied with round, easy tannins and a savory finish. Drink now. (03/2021)

2019 Château Robin: 90 Punkte
The 2019 Château Robin shows classic limestone minerality as well as a pretty perfume of red fruits, white flowers, crushed chalk, and hints of dried tobacco leaves. Nicely balanced, medium-bodied, and straight-up silky on the palate, this beauty can be drunk today or cellared for 8-10 years. (04/2022)
2019 Chardonnay Hubert de Boüard: 88 Punkte
The 2019 Hubert De Boüard Chardonnay is solid stuff, offering impressive citrus blossom, honeyed pineapple, and toasted spice notes in a medium-bodied, nicely balanced, refreshing style. As with everything from this team, it's impeccably made, and I suspect it will be a good value. (04/2022)
2019 Château Mauvesin-Barton: 89 Punkte
The 2019 Château Mauvesin Barton has more dark fruits, structure, and length, and it's a little more serious as well. Still, the tannins are nicely polished, and the balance is spot on. It's going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and keep for a decade. (04/2022)

Lisa Perrotti-Brown
2019 Château Mauvesin-Barton: 88 Punkte
The 2019 Mauvesin Barton is medium to deep garnet-purple in color. It offers up scents of kirsch, raspberry leaves, and mulberries, with touches of tobacco and graphite. The medium-bodied palate has appealing energy with soft, well-managed tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing with a red berry lift. (05/2023)

Wine Spectator
2018 Château Croix Mouton: 89 Punkte
Lightly steeped damson plum and black cherry notes are expressive, while fine-grained structure pulls in light humus and cedar details through the finish. Drink now through 2022. 27,280 cases made, 6,000 cases imported. - J.M.

Parker – Wine Advocate
2019 Chardonnay Hubert de Boüard: 90-92 Punkte
The 2019 Le Chardonnay has achingly delicate scents of honey-drizzled white peaches, spiced apples and Bosc pears with wafts of marzipan and pie crust. The medium-bodied palate delivers loads of finely knit apple and stone fruit flavors with a silken texture and bags of freshness, finishing long and spicy. Since Chardonnay is not one of the Bordeaux AC's permitted grapes, this wine uses the relatively new Vin de Pays de l'Atlantique designation. But don't let the declassified designation fool you—this is serious Chardonnay and it is seriously good! - Lisa Perrotti-Brown (06/2020)
