The 2022 R de Rieussec has a fresh bouquet with apple blossom, pear and light gooseberry scents. Fine intensity. The palate is fresh on the entry with grass clipping and gooseberry, touches of kiwi, quite precise on the finish with admirable length. Drink over the next 8-10 years.

The 2022 R Rieussec is a blend of 55% Semillon and 45% Sauvignon Blanc. It needs some coaxing to bring out notes of lime leaves, freshly squeezed grapefruit, and lemon drops with hints of wet slate and coriander seed. The medium-bodied palate has good intensity of citrusy flavors with a chalky undercurrent and a spicy lift to the finish. (08/2023)
